Fort Bend County Hammered By Thunderstorms; Flood Warning Posted For San Bernard River

Slow-moving thunderstorms dumped more than 4 inches of rain across Fort Bend County’s midsection by late Saturday afternoon, flooding back roads and low-lying underpasses from Missouri City to Rosenberg. At a railroad underpass marking the border between Richmond and Rosenberg along U.S. 90A near OakBend Medical Center, police blocked the road to prevent motorists from attempting to drive through what appeared to be 3-foot-deep water.
